David Sumner is a long-term investor based in the UAE.

 

David founded Sumner Group in 2018 to consolidate and build upon his business interests. He has over 20 years of experience in developing successful global business platforms focusing on the healthcare, security & defence and mining sectors with a specific interest in UK capital markets.

He has served on numerous private and public company boards in both an executive and non-executive capacity and has a track record of raising capital through debt and equity fundraising

David was born in London and set up The Sumner Foundation in 2019 to enable young adults, living in the United Kingdom, reach their potential.

Katie Hiess is an English qualified solicitor and currently a Director with SGH Global.

Katie began her career with leading international law firms, Clyde & Co LLP and Holman Fenwick Willan LLP in London and Dubai. She then became a founding team member and Head of Legal at A.P. Moller Capital where she supported the successful establishment of a dual regulated alternative investment fund manager. 

Katie holds a BSc in International Management (First Class Hons.) from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology Management School and a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP Law School, London. She was admitted as a Solicitor of the High Court of England and Wales in 2008.

Alastair Glover is a Private Wealth partner with Trowers & Hamlins in Dubai. He has over 10 years' experience in advising high net worth individuals and families, family offices and trustees on global estate planning and tax efficient investment structures.

Alastair has significant experience in international succession planning including offshore trust and foundation structures, tax advice, immigration and family governance.

 

Alastair is a member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP) and a STEP Arabia Committee member. He regularly speaks at conferences regarding a variety of private client issues.
