The Sumner Foundation was set up in 2019 to provide university grants to promising young students (either born or living in the United Kingdom) to enable them to continue with their education and achieve their full potential. 

More recently the charity has gone on to offer:

• Water Search & Rescue (WSAR) Capability & Training Facility (Philippines)

• University grants for underprivileged students (Philippines)

• Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) Support (Philippines)
